Mariano Valente hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Viriato Aleixo's late challenge caught a Ganados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Aleixo helped the player get up and apologised. Viriato Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Vasco Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mariano Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Armindo Aleixo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the SC Rochao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Aleixo couldn't finish the play. In the 24th match minute, Ganados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Amaro to maneuver through the defense. José Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Antunes having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Basílio Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fábio Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 39 minutes into the game, Vasco Nogueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Faria. Vasco Nogueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vasco Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ganados's Vasco Nogueira in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Rochao's goalie prevented a goal. José Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes SC Rochao got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Aleixo. 58 minutes into the match, SC Rochao's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Santarém came free, but Miguel Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Basílio Santarém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Rochao getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Armindo Aleixo hit a great ball. Basílio Santarém took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Faria. Miguel Faria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Miguel Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Basílio Santarém blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Faria having to make a save. Miguel Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Rochao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
