Hugo Resende who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Bessa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedro Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luís Assis's late challenge caught a Milheiricas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Assis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Luís Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Faria struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Carlos Bessa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milheiricas FC. Rodrigo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Guerreiro in the 26th minute of the match. Ricardo Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Milheiricas FC booed when SC Alcoutao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, one of SC Alcoutao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Alcoutao. Rodrigo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Guerreiro in the 38th minute of the match. Diogo Sá's late challenge caught a SC Alcoutao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Sá helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Milheiricas FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Diogo Sá hit a great ball. Milheiricas FC's Rodrigo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Guerreiro in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Faria was the one to do the kick off. Rodrigo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Garcia in the 51st minute of the match. Rodrigo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Lima in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Milheiricas FC's Rodrigo Vieira got control of the ball when Rafael Guerreiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Resende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Bessa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Ricardo Silva was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Milheiricas FC booed when SC Alcoutao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luís Assis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. Luís Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Catarino Lima's late challenge caught a Milheiricas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Lima helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Alcoutao getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Catarino Lima hit a great ball. SC Alcoutao's Carlos Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Resende in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Hugo Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Faria in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Bessa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Garcia was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Alcoutao players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Milheiricas FC.
