In the 30th match minute, Mancos Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Mancos Unidos defense, Hugo Resende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vasco Pinheiro. The Mancos Unidos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasco Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Severiano Frois's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Diogo Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milheiricas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mancos Unidos the free kick. A collision led to Milheiricas FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 76th minute, Teófilo Poças made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Vieira. Milheiricas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Mancos Unidos's Vasco Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Mancos Unidos from getting a goal against them.
