Hermenegildo Veríssimo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Alexandre Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edrosa. Hermenegildo Veríssimo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alexandre Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Maia's late challenge caught a Prezandaes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Maia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Edrosa's Teodoro Maia got a free kick in the 14th minute. Alexandre Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Gusmão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Hermenegildo Veríssimo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prezandaes's Alexandre Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandre Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filinto Rebocho in the 29th minute of the match. Hermenegildo Veríssimo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Prezandaes's zone, Filinto Rebocho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Gomes came out of the goal and Filinto Rebocho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogério Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Isidoro Gusmão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filinto Rebocho made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Brito in the 53rd minute of play forced Edrosa's goalkeeper Isidoro Gusmão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filinto Rebocho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Jairo Semedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Gomes. Prezandaes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Semedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Prezandaes's Alexandre Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filinto Rebocho in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Prezandaes booed when Edrosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes, Prezandaes's Pedro Queirós shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isidoro Gusmão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Prezandaes reached it. When Filinto Rebocho in the 76th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alexandre Gomes kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Prezandaes's Alexandre Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Prezandaes from getting a goal against them. When Filinto Rebocho came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Edrosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filinto Rebocho couldn't finish the play. In the 88thth minute of the game Filinto Rebocho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prezandaes's Alexandre Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edrosa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
