Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Aveleiras's Inácio Abrantes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Perelhal FC's Daniel Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Perelhal FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 4 minutes, Nuno Eanes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aveleiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Eanes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, José Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Mota was a little too slow when Inácio Abrantes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 15th minute, Inácio Abrantes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Mota. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Aveleiras booed when Perelhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Eanes got free with Daniel Mota in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Mota made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Nuno Eanes sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Eanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Daniel Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Eanes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Daniel Mota made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Perelhal FC's zone, Inácio Abrantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Mota came out of the goal and Inácio Abrantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Abrantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39thth minute of the game Inácio Abrantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Perelhal FC's Daniel Mota was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Perelhal FC's Daniel Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Abrantes in the 42nd minute of play. Daniel Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Eanes in the 43rd minute. After 44 minutes, Abílio Moutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveleiras and the Perelhal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Aveleiras got a freekick which was hit by Abílio Moutinho. Catarino Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aveleiras booed when Perelhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bento Garcia made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Inácio Abrantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aveleiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Abrantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Gonçalves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Perelhal FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Abílio Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Perelhal FC got a freekick which was hit by José Dantas. Luís Trigueiro struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Daniel Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveleiras. If Bento Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Domingos Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perelhal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abílio Varanda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Gonçalves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 83rd playminute. Domingos Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Abrantes in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abílio Varanda came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Perelhal FC's Bento Garcia. But to his dismay, Bento Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 96 minutes into the match, Aveleiras's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Garcia came free, but Abílio Varanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 97th minute of the match Abílio Moutinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Abílio Moutinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Armando Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abílio Varanda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
