Sérgio Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. António Pinheiro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Afonso Moniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavadoures FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirateca FC the free kick. Nuno Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Jesus having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Andrade got free with Sérgio Castro in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Jesus having to interfere. Mirateca FC's Sérgio Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mirateca FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Fonseca in the 34th minute of play forced Lavadoures FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Nuno Resende made a precise shot to the right of Eusébio Jesus. Lavadoures FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gil Almeida made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gustavo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirateca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 minutes, Gustavo Amaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mirateca FC and the Lavadoures FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustavo Amaro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Gustavo Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mirateca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Sérgio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Almeida in the 78th minute of play. Eusébio Jesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Fonseca in the 80th minute. Nuno Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Andrade in the 87th minute of play.
