Aparício Távora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Assunção in the 13th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Paialvo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Bezerra came free, but António Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Bezerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Assunção's late challenge caught a Alvorense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Assunção helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Paialvo FC defense, Marcelo Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Mendes. The Paialvo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Mendes should have stopped the shot. Cássio Bezerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Mendes having to make a save. António Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Bezerra in the 72nd minute of the match. Hélder Assunção kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. António Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Barbosa got free with Aparício Távora in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Carvalho in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Mendes saved Paialvo FC from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Cássio Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Mendes having to interfere. Marcelo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. António Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alvorense had played much better football throughout.
