Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vasco Fonseca made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Eduardo Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Felizes's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílcar Assunção got free with Bernardo Pinto in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Gaspar's late challenge caught a SC Felizes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Carlos Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Emílio Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Leiria in the 21st minute. Miguel Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emílio Ferreira went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Albertino Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sambado FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Carlos Vieira hit a great ball. Sambado FC's Bernardo Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Sambado FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Sambado FC's zone, Amílcar Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Pinto came out of the goal and Amílcar Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Vieira got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Manuel Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardo Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Brito in the 46th minute of play. SC Felizes's Amílcar Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Ferreira in the 60th minute. Carlos Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Emílio Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sambado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Ferreira in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Amílcar Assunção cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bernardo Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernardo Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Emílio Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sambado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Emílio Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Emílio Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sambado FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Sambado FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sambado FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
