Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Albertino Gama took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Luís Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Hamilton Chagas sent off a good shot on target. João Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Sequeira in the 7th minute of the match. João Cardoso was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Albertino Sequeira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albertino Sequeira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Albertino Sequeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 15 minutes, Albertino Gama made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Setubal FC's João Cardoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 played minutes Albertino Gama rounded Setubal FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Rodrigo Lemos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. João Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Gama in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Cardoso saved Setubal FC from getting behind. A collision led to Setubal FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Miguel Alves hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Patrício Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Alves hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Hamilton Chagas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Setubal FC's zone, Albertino Sequeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Cardoso came out of the goal and Albertino Sequeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Freitas in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 minutes Setubal FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patrício Freitas who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Albertino Sequeira drilling the ball in to score 4-0 behind Setubal FC's goalkeeper. Setubal FC's João Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Sequeira in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hamilton Chagas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amarante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamilton Chagas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Sequeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Viegas to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Setubal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Freitas came free, but João Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Alves during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yuri Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. João Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Gama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Albertino Sequeira in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Amílcar Faro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Patrício Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. João Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albertino Sequeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Patrício Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. João Cardoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrício Freitas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play, Amarante FC's Albertino Gama made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Cardoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Setubal FC's zone, Albertino Sequeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Cardoso came out of the goal and Albertino Sequeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, Amarante FC's Albertino Sequeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Setubal FC's João Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamilton Chagas in the 91st minute of play. Ivo Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Faro in the 92nd minute of play. If Rodrigo Lemos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
