Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of SC Marteleira booed when Carnicais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Sebastião Reis made a huge save. Vicente Lopes's late challenge caught a Carnicais FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. Vicente Lopes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. José Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Mendes in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes SC Marteleira got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Leiria. After having played for 22 minutes, Gustavo Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnicais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sérgio Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Marteleira's protests and gave Sérgio Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Marteleira's Sérgio Cardoso got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Gustavo Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carnicais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Pinheiro in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Gustavo Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Carnicais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Barros to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Pinheiro got free with Sebastião Reis in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, SC Marteleira's Sebastião Reis threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Cardoso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for SC Marteleira. José Henriques stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sebastião Reis. 1-0. André Cardoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Cardoso ran back to his position shaking his head. André Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute André Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. João Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. José Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. José Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Mendes in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Setúbal was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When André Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the SC Marteleira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Cardoso couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Marteleira had played much better football throughout.
