In the 20thth minute of the game Virgílio Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jou FC's Gaspar Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaspar Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermes Mendes in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute AC Guizão were awarded a corner. Vítor Moniz went to the cornerflag to take it. Aurelian Nicolae made a great header on AC Guizão's corner, it was just that Jou FC's Gaspar Pinheiro managed to reach the ball for a save. Catarino Mafra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Nicolae might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaspar Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aurelian Nicolae ran back to his position shaking his head. If Virgílio Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Catarino Mafra struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gaspar Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Guizão. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Hermes Mendes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Catarino Mafra came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the AC Guizão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Mafra couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Catarino Mafra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When the match was over AC Guizão could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jou FC throughout the match.
