The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Perelhal FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Kent Lindkvist sped through Perelhal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Magalhães. Alberto Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Lindkvist's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Fernando Miguéis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Kent Lindkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Abílio Pessoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G.D.Pedorido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abílio Pessoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Lindkvist in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kent Lindkvist struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Alberto Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.D.Pedorido. Perelhal FC's Alberto Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Távora in the 34th minute of play. Kent Lindkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alberto Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abílio Pessoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The G.D.Pedorido fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent Lindkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. If Kent Lindkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Magalhães was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Kent Lindkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kent Lindkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After 57 minutes, Eduardo Faro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perelhal FC and the G.D.Pedorido players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Lisandro Mansilha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Lindkvist in the 70th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kent Lindkvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alberto Magalhães. That made the score 0-8 in the 77 minute of play. Kent Lindkvist succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-9 in the 82nd playminute. In the 85th match minute, G.D.Pedorido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Lindkvist to maneuver through the defense. Leif Lönn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Delgado in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Miguéis in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Magalhães saved Perelhal FC from getting behind. Kent Lindkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Alberto Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Perelhal FC's zone, Fernando Miguéis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Magalhães came out of the goal and Fernando Miguéis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 93rd minute, but Alberto Magalhães got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Perelhal FC hanging dry this time. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Santarém during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of G.D.Pedorido booed when Perelhal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Ramiro Matos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alberto Magalhães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Perelhal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. G.D.Pedorido were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
