Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Esteves having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Basílio Pedroso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Fontelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Miranda during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexandre Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When Gustavo Assunção fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ansul FC's protests and gave Gustavo Assunção a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Alexandre Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, SC Fontelo's Miguel Miranda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Ansul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Pedroso came free, but Júlio Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Esteves came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Fontelo's Pedro Luz. But to his dismay, Pedro Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nuno Guerreiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Leão having to make a save. Júlio Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ansul FC's zone, Pedro Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Esteves came out of the goal and Pedro Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half SC Fontelo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basílio Pedroso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Esteves having to interfere. If Gustavo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ansul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Fontelo the free kick. After 70 played minutes SC Fontelo got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Cruz. In the 71st minute, Francisco Brás sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Fontelo's Nuno Leão didn't even have to move. 80 minutes into the game, Nuno Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Fontelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ansul FC the free kick. In the 80th minute, Nuno Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Pedro Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Esteves. Ansul FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Fontelo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
