Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Américo Santarém took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Filipe Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5thth minute of the game Catarino Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sampaio FC's Cristiano Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sampaio FC's zone, Filipe Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Martins came out of the goal and Filipe Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Cuba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Assunção came free, but Rui Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Américo Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Catarino Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Cuba FC got a freekick which was hit by Américo Santarém. Manuel Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rui Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristiano Martins made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Filipe Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cuba FC's Paulo Gueifão got a free kick in the 38th minute. Sampaio FC's Carlos Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Nascimento in the 42nd minute of play forced Cuba FC's goalkeeper Rui Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rui Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Nascimento made a kick off. Filipe Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristiano Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Cristiano Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Santarém in the 57th minute of the match. Cristiano Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Carlos Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 69th minute of the match Catarino Teixeira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Catarino Teixeira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Sampaio FC booed when Cuba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cuba FC's Afonso Barros got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Cristiano Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Nascimento in the 77th minute of play. When Afonso Barros fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuba FC's protests and gave Afonso Barros a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cuba FC's Afonso Barros got a free kick in the 78th minute. Rui Ribeiro made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Carlos Assunção sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Filipe Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Martins. Sampaio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Carlos Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Ribeiro having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cuba FC had won after a very even match.
