Joaquim Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lajido FC's zone, Manuel Calado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Moniz came out of the goal and Manuel Calado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Guerreiro made a kick off. In the 54th minute, João Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Lajido FC's goalkeeper Rui Moniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Arruda. In the 60th minute of the match, Adélio Arruda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Moniz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Plácido Calado struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Rui Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcangosta. Rui Moniz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Tarcísio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rui Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajido FC's Rui Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Lajido FC from getting a goal against them. Edgar Sesimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a left leg Rui Moniz saved Lajido FC from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Alcangosta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lajido FC.
