When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Rubim Ponte took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Filip De Wilde to make any attempt to save it. In the 27th match minute, ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Carmo to maneuver through the defense. Rubim Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olívio Carmo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team defense, Rubim Ponte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip De Wilde. The ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip De Wilde should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubim Ponte in the 58th minute of play forced ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team's goalkeeper Filip De Wilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team's zone, Lúcio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filip De Wilde came out of the goal and Lúcio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubim Ponte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubim Ponte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip De Wilde having to interfere. 6-0 became the score in the 69th minute when Rubim Ponte elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Filip De Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubim Ponte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86thth minute of the game Rubim Ponte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ¨¨NOGU&IRA¨¨team's Filip De Wilde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the game, GD Ribeirão's Lúcio Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip De Wilde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Lúcio Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Filip De Wilde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GD Ribeirão. Rubim Ponte took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filip De Wilde. Filip De Wilde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. When Lúcio Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the GD Ribeirão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Alcântara couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that GD Ribeirão were the better team. GD Ribeirão's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
