A collision led to Clube Atlético do Cadaval getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Noel Vilas Boas hit a great ball. Manuel Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adão Câmara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Salgado in the 11th minute. Israel Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homero Cordeiro in the 13th minute of the match. Hermínio Salgados short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Manuel Teles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Homero Cordeiro in the 17th minute of play forced SC Vade's goalkeeper Israel Campos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Salgado in the 22nd minute. Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Manuel Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Salgado in the 23rd minute of play. Israel Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homero Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Angélico Abrantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Manuel Teles made a huge save. Hildeberto Avelar's late challenge caught a SC Vade's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hildeberto Avelar helped the player get up and apologised. Hildeberto Avelar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Vade booed when Clube Atlético do Cadaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Vilas Boas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Hermínio Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Teles was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Fumo Charro lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Homero Cordeiro took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Israel Campos. Israel Campos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Hermínio Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Vade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Salgado couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Clube Atlético do Cadaval getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Hildeberto Avelar hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Palmiro Severiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilídio Rocha was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, SC Vade's Israel Campos got control of the ball when Homero Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Homero Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Israel Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Hermínio Salgado notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Clube Atlético do Cadaval's Manuel Teles. Manuel Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angélico Abrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Leal Júdice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Israel Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leal Júdice in the 67th minute of play. Israel Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Homero Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermínio Salgado in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Teles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angélico Abrantes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Teles having to make a save. Hermínio Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Israel Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Leal Júdice cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Israel Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 played minutes Clube Atlético do Cadaval got a freekick which was hit by Homero Cordeiro. Manuel Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Vade fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clube Atlético do Cadaval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
