The crowd rose to their feet as FC Portuense's Artur Quintanilha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Danilo Fidalgo. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Máximo Avelar scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Fidalgo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute Aparício Portela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Fidalgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Alexandre Ventura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesur Necid kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Portuense's Artur Quintanilha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Danilo Fidalgo. That made the score 3-0 after 37 minutes of play. Danilo Fidalgo was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Máximo Avelar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Máximo Avelar really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Álvaro Infante came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Zinde's Juliano Poças. But to his dismay, Juliano Poças quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Artur Quintanilha made the kick off in the second half. Danilo Fidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Avelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Carlos Quintela fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zinde's protests and gave Carlos Quintela a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Portuense booed when FC Zinde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Quintela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Fidalgo came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Portuense's Artur Quintanilha. But to his dismay, Artur Quintanilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Juliano Poças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Infante having to interfere. José Portela's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Álvaro Infante skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 64th minute, Artur Quintanilha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Fidalgo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. If Aparício Portela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the FC Zinde defense, Artur Quintanilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Fidalgo. The FC Zinde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Fidalgo should have stopped the shot. Danilo Fidalgo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Quintanilha in the 77th minute of play. Danilo Fidalgo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Portuense's Máximo Avelar. But to his dismay, Máximo Avelar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Quintanilha in the 86th minute of play forced FC Zinde's goalkeeper Danilo Fidalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Quintela hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Danilo Fidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Artur Quintanilha scored 9-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Fidalgo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Portuense fully deserved thier win.
