Alfredo Águas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rui Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Portuense booed when MAG F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Infante having to interfere. Artur Quintanilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rui Vasconcelos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Vachon in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Portuense's goalkeeper Álvaro Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute of the match FC Portuense got a corner. MAG F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesur Necid ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 86 played minutes FC Portuense got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Avelar. Artur Quintanilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Rui Vasconcelos made a huge save. In the 92nd minute Melquiades Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Infante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Portuense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
