Sálvio Lages kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Batista Batistuta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jerardo Zamudio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 16th minute, Esteban Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Per-Erik Hamnberg notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Lions FC's Jerardo Zamudio. Jerardo Zamudio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Panteras FC's Donald Alpizar got a free kick in the 27th minute. Christoffer Grinden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervásio Vieira went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Panteras FC's Christoffer Grinden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Vieira in the 36th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Panteras FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lions FC:s goal. Christoffer Grinden had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Esteban Raebert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Lions FC's Keanu Reeves got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batista Batistuta got free with Jerardo Zamudio in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerardo Zamudio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Lobato, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the game, Batista Batistuta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panteras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lions FC the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Panteras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batista Batistuta to maneuver through the defense. Lions FC's Hermínio Neiva was substituted for Hipólito Assunção. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isac Azevedo to make the kick off. Batista Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerardo Zamudio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Batista Batistuta ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Salgueiro came free, but Jerardo Zamudio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoffer Grinden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isac Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Panteras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Ugarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panteras FC's Christoffer Grinden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Azevedo in the 65th minute of play. Panteras FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Isac Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Christoffer Grinden, making the score, 4-2. Christoffer Grinden made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Isac Azevedo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervásio Vieira got free with Christoffer Grinden in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
