Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Claudemiro Campos made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saúl Gentil during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Saúl Gentil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abílio Corte-Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rubim Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Tugalions booed when SC Barreiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Carreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Lázaro Amado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Barreiro's Jorge Moutinho didn't even have to move. Abílio Corte-Real made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nivaldo Graça in the 27th minute of play. Abílio Corte-Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nivaldo Graça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saúl Gentil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute of the match, Bernardo Monteiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jorge Moutinho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Abílio Corte-Real showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nivaldo Graça in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Claudemiro Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abílio Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Rubim Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Barreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubim Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Monteiro to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Bernardo Monteiro made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Moutinho. SC Barreiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, FC Tugalions's Abílio Corte-Real got control of the ball when Rubim Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tugalions's zone, Rubim Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abílio Corte-Real came out of the goal and Rubim Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, FC Tugalions's goal looked a bit too open when Nivaldo Graça came free, but Abílio Corte-Real reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubim Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, FC Tugalions's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Nogueira came free, but Abílio Corte-Real reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Passos's late challenge caught a FC Tugalions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rui Passos helped the player get up and apologised. Rui Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Lázaro Amado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorge Moutinho. SC Barreiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rubim Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Abílio Corte-Real tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, FC Tugalions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerónimo Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Abílio Corte-Real made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudemiro Campos in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Barreiro's Rubim Teixeira got a free kick in the 89th minute. Abílio Corte-Real showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Tugalions fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Barreiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
