Leandro Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takis Petropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Lukasz Ruzicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sport Clube Sangemil's Leandro Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Petropoulos in the 23rd minute of play. Leandro Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takis Petropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Takis Petropoulos took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Abreu. Leandro Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leandro Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 狄松鹏 in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Lorca to make the kick off. The supporters of SC Asseca booed when Sport Clube Sangemil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Carreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Sport Clube Sangemil getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. António Veloso hit a great ball. Leandro Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Takis Petropoulos in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Arruda in the 68th minute of play forced SC Asseca's goalkeeper Dean Grieve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Grieve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Leonel Lorca took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Leandro Abreu to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Sport Clube Sangemil's Alexandre Quadros got a free kick in the 75th minute. A hard shot by 狄松鹏 from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Leandro Abreu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Daniel Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Grieve having to interfere. Leandro Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 狄松鹏 went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Leandro Abreu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Carreira in the 94th minute of play forced SC Asseca's goalkeeper Dean Grieve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Asseca had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
