Zhao Xiang Xuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fernando Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Ruas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Linhares having to interfere. Cândido Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Ruas in the 30th minute of the match. Manuel Ruas's late challenge caught a NoMoreMoneyForMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Ruas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Manuel Ruas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zhao Xiang Xuan in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Tinoco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cândido Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Günther in the 36th minute of play. Fernando Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Gaitano in the 39th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes NoMoreMoneyForMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Raminhos. Fernando Tinoco was a little too slow when Gregorio Leocadio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Marialva S.C.'s zone, Zhao Xiang Xuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Tinoco came out of the goal and Zhao Xiang Xuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Pinho in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Marialva S.C. booed when NoMoreMoneyForMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesário Raminhos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Sarabia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Cândido Linhares made a huge save. Fernando Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Gaitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Zhao Xiang Xuan made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Tinoco. Marialva S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Sarabia got free with Cândido Linhares in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marialva S.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
