Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hamzat Ogbo started the match with the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Bartholomew Ike got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Rothwell AFC booed when Knaresborough City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdu Obasha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danny Ajao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilola Oke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartholomew Ike in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Danny Ajao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kambina Aborisade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamzat Ogbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartholomew Ike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilola Oke having to interfere. Atilola Oke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartholomew Ike went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Hamzat Ogbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kambina Aborisade having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chifo Oyelere during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rothwell AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Chifo Oyelere hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zinachidi Bemekun to make the kick off. A collision led to Rothwell AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Zerenjo Aduda hit a great ball. When Zinachidi Bemekun, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Atilola Oke was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Hamzat Ogbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kambina Aborisade having to interfere. Atilola Oke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zinachidi Bemekun in the 73rd minute of the match. Danny Ajao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamzat Ogbo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Kambina Aborisade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothwell AFC. In the 83rd match minute, Knaresborough City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jolaoya Iweta to maneuver through the defense. Hamzat Ogbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kambina Aborisade having to interfere. Bartholomew Ike blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atilola Oke having to make a save. 88 minutes into the game, Zinachidi Bemekun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Atilola Oke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 94 minutes, Danny Ajao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Ajao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knaresborough City's Bartholomew Ike got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
