If Oyinkan Ayodele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Oyinkan Ayodele had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddy Adekanmbi. Southam AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oyinkan Ayodele was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Udoka Adebakin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Oyinkan Ayodele made a precise shot to the right of Eddy Adekanmbi. Southam AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 21 minutes, Jibunoh Salahudeen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnet City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jibunoh Salahudeen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anthony Kipkorir's late challenge caught a Southam AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Kipkorir helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barnet City's Anthony Kipkorir got a free kick in the 26th minute. A collision led to Southam AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Yemi Ransome-Kuti hit a great ball. The Southam AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barnet City were winning 0-2.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Edon Okwudili who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnet City's Somadina Fatahi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Southam AFC booed when Barnet City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jibunoh Salahudeen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Southam AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edon Okwudili. In the 57th match minute, Barnet City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chidiebere Abayomi to maneuver through the defense. Edon Okwudili struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Somadina Fatahi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Southam AFC. When Jibunoh Salahudeen came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Barnet City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jibunoh Salahudeen couldn't finish the play. If Ebere Ogunkoya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Nwakamma Ohenhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oyinkan Ayodele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Adekanmbi having to interfere. Barnet City's Jibunoh Salahudeen got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edon Okwudili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Barnet City supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barnet City would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
