The audience thought a goal was coming when Oghogho Olubodun got free with Nwabugwu Odubena in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Nwabugwu Odubena managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when REVOLUTIONARY FC's Oghogho Olubodun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Nwokeocha Odejayi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lewes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nwokeocha Odejayi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zik Adeitan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Austine Ughaelu might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zik Adeitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Austine Ughaelu ran back to his position shaking his head. Zik Adeitan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lewes FC's Ahmadu Onobo . But to his dismay, Ahmadu Onobo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Nwokeocha Odejayi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zik Adeitan was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Nwokeocha Odejayi made a precise shot to the right of Zik Adeitan. REVOLUTIONARY FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Nwokeocha Odejayi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Lewes FC's Nwokeocha Odejayi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zik Adeitan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nwokeocha Odejayi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zik Adeitan having to make a save. Zik Adeitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nwokeocha Odejayi in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Onyewuchi Obiefule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The REVOLUTIONARY FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lewes FC were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nwokeocha Odejayi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmadu Onobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Zik Adeitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nwokeocha Odejayi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chikere Owomoyela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. REVOLUTIONARY FC's Zik Adeitan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save REVOLUTIONARY FC from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the game, Henry Emeka cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nwabugwu Odubena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lewes FC's goalkeeper Nwabugwu Odubena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, REVOLUTIONARY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nwokeocha Odejayi came free, but Zik Adeitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, REVOLUTIONARY FC's goalkeeper Zik Adeitan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmadu Onobo . Zik Adeitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nwokeocha Odejayi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nwokeocha Odejayi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Ahmadu Onobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zik Adeitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nwokeocha Odejayi, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Ahmadu Onobo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
