Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Kambina Atere started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dosu Famewo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kambina Atere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Idris Amaechina took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dosu Famewo. Dosu Famewo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Kambina Atere notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lexxan's Dosu Famewo. Dosu Famewo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edorisi Akparanta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tajudeen Igu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tajudeen Igu was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Edorisi Akparanta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edorisi Akparanta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Edorisi Akparanta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lexxan's supporters rose to their feet, but Edorisi Akparanta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tajudeen Igu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Edorisi Akparanta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edorisi Akparanta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubanwa Elumelu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dosu Famewo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kambina Atere, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Chukwuemeka Kamuche came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lexxan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chukwuemeka Kamuche couldn't finish the play. Lexxan's Edorisi Akparanta got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kambina Atere scored 2-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dosu Famewo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edorisi Akparanta got free with Tajudeen Igu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edorisi Akparanta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kambina Atere in the 47th minute of play forced Lexxan's goalkeeper Dosu Famewo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edorisi Akparanta to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Netherton City's Umar John Obi made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dosu Famewo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kambina Atere in the 54th minute of play forced Lexxan's goalkeeper Dosu Famewo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chukwuemeka Kamuche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umar John Obi in the 58th minute of play forced Lexxan's goalkeeper Dosu Famewo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dosu Famewo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kambina Atere, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Edorisi Akparanta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lexxan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edorisi Akparanta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Lexxan booed when Netherton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orchena Ekpiwhire didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Lexxan's Erhabor Adelekan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tajudeen Igu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edorisi Akparanta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tajudeen Igu having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Edorisi Akparanta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tajudeen Igu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. If Ugochukwutubelum Ekpoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chukwuemeka Kamuche might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tajudeen Igu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chukwuemeka Kamuche ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute, Chukwuemeka Kamuche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chukwuemeka Kamuche struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Tajudeen Igu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lexxan. The Lexxan manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Netherton City to win.
