Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fairfield's goalkeeper Rufus Agundu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rufus Agundu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Otito Ayongo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Habeeb Egbuonu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kabir Alozie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fairfield's zone, Gbenga Okoroanyanwu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Agundu came out of the goal and Gbenga Okoroanyanwu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Habeeb Egbuonu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kabir Alozie having to interfere. A collision led to Braintree AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Izuchukwu Pascal hit a great ball. Kabir Alozie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aniedi Olatunji , who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to Braintree AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kosi Okala hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fairfield's Habeeb Egbuonu got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Kosiso Smart hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Braintree AFC's Kabir Alozie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Braintree AFC from getting a goal against them. After 59 played minutes Fairfield got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Nwiika. Habeeb Egbuonu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Habeeb Egbuonu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fairfield's Rufus Agundu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otito Ayongo in the 74th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Kosiso Smart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Braintree AFC and the Fairfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fairfield booed when Braintree AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kosiso Smart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enang Ibirogba kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Fairfield getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Onome Agie hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fairfield players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Braintree AFC.
