Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ime Imaji started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Theodore Akassa lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Deyour Oyai. In the 9th minute Theodore Akassa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyour Oyai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Laudamus Taura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deyour Oyai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodore Akassa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deyour Oyai was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Theodore Akassa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Theodore Akassa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Wincanton's Theodore Akassa in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ezekiel Akinwunmi hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Comfort Arah sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Deyour Oyai threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Comfort Arah this time. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nkeiruka Onigbinde got free with Deyour Oyai in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osaze Udem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Chukwueloka Alachi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes Wincanton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omolola Babangida who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Omolola Babangida almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Wincanton's Akin Aduaka did a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theodore Akassa to make the kick off. Theodore Akassa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Deyour Oyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deyour Oyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nkeiruka Onigbinde in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Chukwueloka Alachi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deyour Oyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nkeiruka Onigbinde in the 71st minute of play. Deyour Oyai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkeiruka Onigbinde in the 73rd minute of the match. Nkeiruka Onigbinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deyour Oyai having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deyour Oyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodore Akassa in the 77th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Theodore Akassa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lagos FC's Deyour Oyai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deyour Oyai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkeiruka Onigbinde in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of Wincanton booed when Lagos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezekiel Akinwunmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lagos FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo hit a great ball. Comfort Arah took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Deyour Oyai. Lagos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Wincanton's Akin Aduaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ime Imaji in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Nkeiruka Onigbinde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wincanton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nkeiruka Onigbinde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ime Imaji kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Akin Aduaka. That made the score 2-1 in the 94 minute of play. Lagos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
