The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Akin Aduaka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Launceston United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gorom Bature hit a great ball. Nkeiruka Onigbinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onyeorulu Ogbon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Ofodile Onwuama was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wincanton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Launceston United the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Wincanton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ofodile Onwuama to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes of play Wincanton's Ofodile Onwuama was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nkeiruka Onigbinde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Johnmark Adebisi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nkeiruka Onigbinde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnmark Adebisi having to interfere. Johnmark Adebisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nkeiruka Onigbinde in the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nkeiruka Onigbinde to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Kwemto Onatoye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nkeiruka Onigbinde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute Kwemto Onatoye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akin Aduaka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Wincanton got a freekick which was hit by Theodore Akassa. Akin Aduaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onyeorulu Ogbon in the 91st minute of the match. Eze Amana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akin Aduaka having to interfere. Akin Aduaka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kwemto Onatoye in the 97th minute of play. Onyeorulu Ogbon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wincanton's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
