The supporters of Waltham Cross booed when Baldock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Ijeh didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Somadina Olowosuko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baldock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Somadina Olowosuko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Baldock's Isaiah Chilaka slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raymond Fujumo. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. A collision led to Waltham Cross getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Madukaego Almu hit a great ball. In the 43rd play minute Somadina Olowosuko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Raymond Fujumo. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isaiah Chilaka made the kick off in the second half. Raymond Fujumo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaiah Chilaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. At last the ball reached Ololade Adebanjo at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Waltham Cross. 4-0. When Madukaego Almu fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waltham Cross's protests and gave Madukaego Almu a yellow card for diving instead. Madukaego Almu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaiah Chilaka in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raymond Fujumo saved Waltham Cross from getting behind. When Somadina Olowosuko came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Baldock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Somadina Olowosuko couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Waltham Cross! Raymond Fujumo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Somadina Olowosuko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
