Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Enyimba's zone, Onuchukwu Gbenoba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anorigwo Oladele came out of the goal and Onuchukwu Gbenoba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uwa Ani in the 7th minute of play forced Enyimba's goalkeeper Anorigwo Oladele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattew Gumbari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dahunsi Ughaelu in the 8th minute. Onuchukwu Gbenoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anorigwo Oladele having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uwa Ani in the 15th minute of play forced Enyimba's goalkeeper Anorigwo Oladele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uwa Ani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anorigwo Oladele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Nwokezuike Adaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Enyimba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nwokezuike Adaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st play minute Dahunsi Ughaelu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mattew Gumbari. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Nwokezuike Adaga took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mattew Gumbari to make any attempt to save it. If Nwokezuike Adaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Onuchukwu Gbenoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anorigwo Oladele having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Blackwater and Frogmore's goal looked a bit too open when Nwokezuike Adaga came free, but Mattew Gumbari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattew Gumbari made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Dahunsi Ughaelu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nwokezuike Adaga in the 45th minute of play forced Blackwater and Frogmore's goalkeeper Mattew Gumbari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, one of Blackwater and Frogmore:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Blackwater and Frogmore. The referee gave Enyimba a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Isah Kabir, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Blackwater and Frogmore's Mattew Gumbari. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uwa Ani to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Blackwater and Frogmore got a freekick which was hit by Chinwenma Ogunsoto. In the 56th match minute, Enyimba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toto Otiji to maneuver through the defense. The Enyimba fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Enyimba's Dahunsi Ughaelu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ifeanyi Ojigwe's late challenge caught a Blackwater and Frogmore's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ifeanyi Ojigwe helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Enyimba got a freekick which was hit by Ifeanyi Ojigwe. In the 70th minute Uwa Ani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anorigwo Oladele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dahunsi Ughaelu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattew Gumbari having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Blackwater and Frogmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Badamasi Yadudu to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blackwater and Frogmore's goalkeeper Mattew Gumbari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dahunsi Ughaelu in the 90th minute of play forced Blackwater and Frogmore's goalkeeper Mattew Gumbari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Akpojotor Erogbogbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Blackwater and Frogmore booed when Enyimba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toto Otiji didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mudashiru Bamsebi fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enyimba's protests and gave Mudashiru Bamsebi a yellow card for diving instead. Mudashiru Bamsebi kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Enyimba had played much better football throughout.
