Anenechi Badmus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Godson Babayaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mutu Iwuanyanwu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nwannedimma Abe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Mutu Iwuanyanwu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Blue Eagles FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Som Dooyum hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philemon Mbong during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Philemon Mbong kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Nwannedimma Abe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samson Etoh Sajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anenechi Badmus having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Choice Babaniji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anenechi Badmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godson Babayaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Awenayeri Abuchi's late challenge caught a Blue Eagles FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Awenayeri Abuchi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Awenayeri Abuchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Mutu Iwuanyanwu managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Blue Eagles FC's Nwannedimma Abe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Nwannedimma Abe came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Blue Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nwannedimma Abe couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Ingatestone City's Esomchi Salahudeen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Esomchi Salahudeen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ingatestone City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Esomchi Salahudeen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Ingatestone City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blue Eagles FC:s goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Godson Babayaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Eagles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Godson Babayaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mutu Iwuanyanwu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blue Eagles FC's Godson Babayaro got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Onyinyechukwuka Ajogi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nwannedimma Abe in the 61st minute of play forced Ingatestone City's goalkeeper Mutu Iwuanyanwu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samson Etoh Sajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anenechi Badmus having to interfere. Mutu Iwuanyanwu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godson Babayaro's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Godson Babayaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes of play, Blue Eagles FC's Nwannedimma Abe made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mutu Iwuanyanwu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Temitope Bagudo's late challenge caught a Ingatestone City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Temitope Bagudo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Blue Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Temitope Bagudo to maneuver through the defense. 3-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Nwannedimma Abe elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Nwannedimma Abe fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Eagles FC's protests and gave Nwannedimma Abe a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 played minutes Blue Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Nwannedimma Abe. Samson Etoh Sajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Ingatestone City's goal looked a bit too open when Godson Babayaro came free, but Mutu Iwuanyanwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Samson Etoh Sajo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anenechi Badmus. The goal made the score 3-2.
