Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) If Ijeagha Odizor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Ime Agoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osibajo Etafia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osibajo Etafia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ijeagha Odizor's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 11 minutes, Nkemdirim Sangobowale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Little Harrowden and the Hornchurch players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Nkemdirim Sangobowale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Tunde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ime Agoro came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Hornchurch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ime Agoro couldn't finish the play. Bright Akintola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddy Achilike having to interfere. Shehu Amaoka hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tasiu Omeokachie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osibajo Etafia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ime Agoro in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hornchurch's Ime Agoro got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bright Akintola's late challenge caught a Hornchurch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bright Akintola helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Little Harrowden got a freekick which was hit by Bright Akintola. Osibajo Etafia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ijeagha Odizor in the 43rd minute of play. Osibajo Etafia came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Hornchurch's Ime Agoro. But to his dismay, Ime Agoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bright Akintola was the one to do the kick off. Ime Agoro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osibajo Etafia having to make a save. In the 54th minute of the match, Ime Agoro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osibajo Etafia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bright Akintola was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Little Harrowden's Yakubu Dombraye got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Osibajo Etafia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ijeagha Odizor in the 63rd minute. When Ime Agoro came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hornchurch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ime Agoro couldn't finish the play. Ijeagha Odizor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Osibajo Etafia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddy Achilike showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ugochukwutubelum Kuta in the 82nd minute of the match. Ijeagha Odizor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osibajo Etafia having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Little Harrowden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakubu Dombraye to maneuver through the defense. Hornchurch's Tasiu Omeokachie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Little Harrowden. The Hornchurch supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hornchurch would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
