Thus it was 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, Castle football academy's goal looked a bit too open when Ini Odey came free, but Labaran Nwaiwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ibeamaka Okwuono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdu Eshieshi having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by West Yussuf during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Castle football academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ibeamaka Okwuono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tochi Amarachi in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdu Eshieshi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Labaran Nwaiwu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halim Abisogun in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes Castle football academy got a freekick which was hit by Nebe Obiabo. If Ini Odey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Castle football academy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ini Odey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Castle football academy defense, Halim Abisogun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Labaran Nwaiwu. With his leg Abdu Eshieshi managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when Castle football academy's Ibeamaka Okwuono fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Brampton City's Ini Odey got a free kick in the 99th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brampton City had won after a very even match.
