Olamide Eshieshi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Hilperton City's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Akiti came free, but Enoch Alhasssan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Hilperton City got a freekick which was hit by Olamide Eshieshi. Enoch Alhasssan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolphus Enebechi in the 12th minute of play. Joseph Okwudili hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Hilperton City's goal looked a bit too open when Adolphus Enebechi came free, but Enoch Alhasssan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Margate's Tasiu Onwuzuruike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kodili Dada in the 27th minute of play. Enoch Alhasssan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolphus Enebechi in the 29th minute of play. Akabueze Dickson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Sunday Odumegwu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tasiu Onwuzuruike was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 36th match minute, Margate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akabueze Dickson to maneuver through the defense. If Adolphus Enebechi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kodili Dada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tasiu Onwuzuruike having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kodili Dada was the one to do the kick off. Raymond Akiti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Enoch Alhasssan made a huge save. In the 61st minute Kodili Dada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tasiu Onwuzuruike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chinwenma Oluwatola hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Margate's goal looked a bit too open when Kodili Dada came free, but Tasiu Onwuzuruike reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Akabueze Dickson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Margate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hilperton City the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kodili Dada in the 70th minute of play forced Margate's goalkeeper Tasiu Onwuzuruike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Adolphus Enebechi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Raymond Akiti came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Margate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Akiti couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Hilperton City's Omotayo Enoh got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 92nd minute, Adolphus Enebechi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolphus Enebechi in the 94th minute of play forced Hilperton City's goalkeeper Enoch Alhasssan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Margate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
