The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Ashraf El Hamdaoui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jalal Naybet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rahim Berkouch, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Tahir Lamyaghri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amezyan Boughanem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Tajeddine Bouden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Casablanca's Amezyan Boughanem in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Afer Ahahaoui's late challenge caught a Tangier's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afer Ahahaoui helped the player get up and apologised. Afer Ahahaoui hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Casablanca's Amezyan Boughanem ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tahir Lamyaghri. Tahir Lamyaghri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After 77 played minutes Casablanca got a freekick which was hit by Afer Ahahaoui. After 80 played minutes Casablanca got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Chafni. In the 82nd match minute, Casablanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Massin Ouaddou to maneuver through the defense. Jalal Naybet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeineddine Benjelloun in the 84th minute of the match. Amezyan Boughanem might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tahir Lamyaghri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amezyan Boughanem ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rahim Berkouch came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Tangier fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rahim Berkouch couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Zeineddine Benjelloun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tangier's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeineddine Benjelloun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jalal Naybet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
