After 2 minutes, Azhar Ait Yahya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kenitra Tihad and the Beni Mellal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Idus Kissi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salam Sarsar in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdelmajid Anis during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Abdelmajid Anis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Salam Sarsar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Beni Mellal's Younes Chretien got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Beni Mellal's zone, Massinissa Zaki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bilal Arrafi came out of the goal and Massinissa Zaki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Kenitra Tihad's goal looked a bit too open when Salam Sarsar came free, but Idus Kissi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 minutes, Ziad Zniti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kenitra Tihad and the Beni Mellal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kenitra Tihad getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ziad Zniti hit a great ball. Idus Kissi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khaled Faris in the 37th minute of play. Bilal Arrafi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nadir Safri, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The supporters of Kenitra Tihad booed when Beni Mellal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sadid El Moubarki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bilal Arrafi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Massinissa Zaki in the 42nd minute. Bilal Arrafi was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Nadir Safri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nadir Safri really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nadir Safri was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Massinissa Zaki in the 63rd minute of play forced Beni Mellal's goalkeeper Bilal Arrafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Beni Mellal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rami Ouchalla to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Kenitra Tihad's Idus Kissi got control of the ball when Khaled Faris tried to sneak it across the goal line.
