Awrib El Assas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelali Kouha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mass El Zhar firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Murad El Hirech got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Badis El Guarrouj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdelali Kouha got free with Mass El Zhar in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdellatif Talhaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasri Regragui in the 16th minute of play. Murad El Hirech struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mass El Zhar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azrou. Abdelali Kouha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mass El Zhar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badis El Guarrouj struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Abdellatif Talhaoui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azrou. 28 minutes into the game, Azrou's Nasri Regragui nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdellatif Talhaoui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Abdelali Kouha struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Mass El Zhar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azrou. Nasri Regragui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdellatif Talhaoui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Azrou's Nasri Regragui got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murad El Hirech was the one to do the kick off. When Soufian Erbati fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azrou's protests and gave Soufian Erbati a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Soufian Erbati hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Abdelali Kouha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Murad El Hirech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mass El Zhar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nasri Regragui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the game, Talal Aini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Azrou's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azrou the free kick. In the 79th minute, one of Azrou:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azrou. Mass El Zhar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelali Kouha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelali Kouha in the 94th minute of play forced Azrou's goalkeeper Mass El Zhar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
