A collision led to Rabat getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zaid Ouchalla hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, Taroudant's Awrib El Amrani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmad El Kaoutar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taroudant reached it. When Tayeb Amazigh came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Taroudant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayeb Amazigh couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Sajed Madih fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abdelbassir Yaacoubi, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Taroudant's zone, Talal Hamdani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelbassir Yaacoubi came out of the goal and Talal Hamdani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Abdelali Belmahjoub managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taroudant's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdelali Belmahjoub was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmad El Kaoutar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sifaks Boukhari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sajed Madih made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sajed Madih in the 52nd minute of play forced Taroudant's goalkeeper Abdelbassir Yaacoubi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelbassir Yaacoubi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sajed Madih, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Ahmad El Kaoutar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tayeb Amazigh's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th match minute, Rabat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zaid Ouchalla to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Rabat's goal looked a bit too open when Tayeb Amazigh came free, but Ahmad El Kaoutar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdelali Belmahjoub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmad El Kaoutar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tayeb Amazigh, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 86 played minutes Taroudant got a freekick which was hit by Souleimane Benaskar. Sajed Madih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Abdelali Belmahjoub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
