Mohammedia's Taha Fellah got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 10 in the game by Agwmar El Zhar from a close distance when the talented Munsif El Azhari managed to make a qualified save. Mohammedia's players were relieved. Tétouan AS's Zeineddine Fehla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taha Fellah in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Tétouan AS got a freekick which was hit by Karim Jermouni. When Housni Ben Chrifa came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Mohammedia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Housni Ben Chrifa couldn't finish the play. After having played for 29 minutes, Taha Fellah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mohammedia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taha Fellah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Taha Fellah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Agwmar El Zhar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tétouan AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Agwmar El Zhar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Munsif El Azhari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes, Afalkay Farass mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tétouan AS and the Mohammedia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Tétouan AS got a freekick which was hit by Afalkay Farass. Hadji Boussoufa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Munsif El Azhari having to interfere. When Fahmi Zairi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mohammedia's protests and gave Fahmi Zairi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tétouan AS booed when Mohammedia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fahmi Zairi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agwmar El Zhar spun around in front of the goal 45 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Mohammedia's goal. In the 49th minute, Abdelhafiz Benthami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hadji Boussoufa made a kick off. After having played for 62 minutes, Hadji Boussoufa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tétouan AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hadji Boussoufa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes Tétouan AS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Idus Amchaibou who took care of the corner kick. Idus Amchaibou made a great header on Mohammedia's corner, it was just that Tétouan AS's Zeineddine Fehla managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Housni Ben Chrifa got free with Zeineddine Fehla in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Taha Fellah's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeineddine Fehla was relentless in the 78th minute of the game.
