With a little luck, Safi's Malek El Mouataz got control of the ball when Ghalib Baha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amanar Chadli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Najid Maaroufi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Safi's goal looked a bit too open when Nizar Bagui came free, but Malek El Mouataz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tétouan getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Idriss Akachar hit a great ball. Chokri Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amanar Chadli having to interfere. Ghalib Baha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malek El Mouataz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nizar Bagui in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malek El Mouataz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st match minute, Tétouan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idriss Akachar to maneuver through the defense. Safwane Alloudi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Amanar Chadli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Labib Maaroufi in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Idriss Akachar charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Idriss Akachar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Tétouan got a freekick which was hit by Idriss Akachar. 62 minutes into the match, Safi's goal looked a bit too open when Ghalib Baha came free, but Malek El Mouataz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Labib Maaroufi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Najid Maaroufi in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tétouan's zone, Najid Maaroufi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amanar Chadli came out of the goal and Najid Maaroufi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee gave Tétouan a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Munsif Ezzine, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Safi's Malek El Mouataz. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ghalib Baha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tétouan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghalib Baha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malek El Mouataz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Safi getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Chokri Rossi hit a great ball. Tétouan's Munsif Ezzine couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Safi. In the 96th minute, Nizar Bagui ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Malek El Mouataz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that Tétouan were the better team. Tétouan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
