But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yazid Sarhani couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Idriss Farid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamal Farid was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Beni Mellal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Idriss Farid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beni Mellal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
