Ismael Benzouin was slow to take the kick. During this time Al-Hoceima's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Sabri Rabeh almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ksar-el-Kebir Kawkab's Chokri El Kaoutar did a great save. If Ramzi Bendriss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ksar-el-Kebir Kawkab's Maysar Abdellaoui got a free kick in the 21st minute. Chokri El Kaoutar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramzi Bendriss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Chokri El Kaoutar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramzi Bendriss's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 82 minutes, Abdelbassir El Idrissi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al-Hoceima and the Ksar-el-Kebir Kawkab players grew even worse after the yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ksar-el-Kebir Kawkab players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Al-Hoceima.
