An unexpectedly hard shot by Chakib El Hamdaoui in the 16th minute of play forced Rabat's goalkeeper Murad Madih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Beni Mellal's zone, Camil Jermouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilyass Louzani came out of the goal and Camil Jermouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yufitran Boutayeb charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yufitran Boutayeb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Rabat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yufitran Boutayeb to maneuver through the defense. Chakib El Hamdaoui struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Murad Madih didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beni Mellal. Ilyass Louzani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camil Jermouni in the 27th minute. Magher Soauri kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Yufitran Boutayeb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rabat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yufitran Boutayeb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rabat's Murad Madih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chakib El Hamdaoui in the 38th minute of play. Abdelkhaliq Khlifi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Murad Madih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rabat's Murad Madih played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelkhaliq Khlifi in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yufitran Boutayeb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Camil Jermouni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilyass Louzani having to interfere. During the 56th minute of the match Amestan Sarraj completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amestan Sarraj a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Rabat booed when Beni Mellal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amestan Sarraj didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Azmi Oulmers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rabat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beni Mellal the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Rabat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azmi Oulmers to maneuver through the defense. Abdelkhaliq Khlifi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Murad Madih skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rabat fully deserved thier win.
