After a defensive mix-up in Casablanca's zone, Izri Fenkar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aksim Allach came out of the goal and Izri Fenkar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Omar Benkhirane came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Casablanca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Benkhirane couldn't finish the play. Khemisset's Winsen Merzouk got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Azayku Kantari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Winsen Merzouk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aksim Allach having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Winsen Merzouk to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Azayku Kantari could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Asfru El Asmar however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Casablanca booed when Khemisset was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naji Zeryouh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casablanca's Aksim Allach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winsen Merzouk in the 56th minute of play.
