Ben Taib's Rachad Ben Chrifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ben Taib from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Abdellatif Roumani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Amanar Hidiouad came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ben Taib fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amanar Hidiouad couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Berkane's Nadir Aouita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rachad Ben Chrifa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Nadir Aouita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Berkane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ben Taib the free kick. Nadir Aouita hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Azerwal Zaki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ben Taib's Aksim El Hirech got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rachad Ben Chrifa made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Nadir Aouita sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asfru Chakhssi to make the kick off. If Tijani Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Taib's Rachad Ben Chrifa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nadir Aouita in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Yuften Benzouin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Soubhi Jbilou sped through Ben Taib's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rachad Ben Chrifa.
