Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Fès's Amestan Benzakour in the 3rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Malek Sarraj was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Mohammedia Difaa through an amazing save. Sadid Abarou struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Moustafa Chiba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mohammedia Difaa. Wakil Kharja might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moustafa Chiba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wakil Kharja ran back to his position shaking his head. Amestan Benzakours short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Malek Sarraj to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th match minute, Mohammedia Difaa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magher Alloudi to maneuver through the defense. Izemrasen Boussaboun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malek Sarraj having to interfere. A collision led to Mohammedia Difaa getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Magher Alloudi hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Fès was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atbir Aissati to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes, Magher Alloudi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mohammedia Difaa and the Fès players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mohammedia Difaa getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Magher Alloudi hit a great ball. Amestan Benzakour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammedia Difaa's Malek Sarraj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amestan Benzakour in the 30th minute of play. Wakil Kharja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Moustafa Chiba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Izemrasen Boussaboun got free with Malek Sarraj in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Izemrasen Boussaboun struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Malek Sarraj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fès. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amestan Benzakour was the one to do the kick off. Asfru Ouhaki kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mohammedia Difaa defense, Amestan Benzakour kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Malek Sarraj. The Mohammedia Difaa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Malek Sarraj should have stopped the shot. In the 66th match minute, Fès was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aghbalu Boulami to maneuver through the defense. Bukkus Hadda kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Izemrasen Boussaboun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malek Sarraj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Amestan Benzakour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fès and the Mohammedia Difaa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Fès got a freekick which was hit by Amestan Benzakour. Malek Sarraj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izemrasen Boussaboun, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Amestan Benzakour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sadid Abarou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moustafa Chiba having to interfere. Mohammedia Difaa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
