Younes Chafni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Nasri Chakhssi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Essaouira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Er Rachidia Najah the free kick. In the 46th minute, Nabil Belabed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nabil Belabed to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Essaouira getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jamil Oulhaj hit a great ball. Younes Chafni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zuhair Lamin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuhair Lamin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Younes Chafni in the 69th minute of the match. Zuhair Lamin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Younes Chafni, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Afa Armoumen charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afa Armoumen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Er Rachidia Najah's Afa Armoumen got a free kick in the 85th minute. A hard shot by Camil Tamsamani from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Taoufiq Neqrouz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Saber Abarou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute, Nabil Belabed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saber Abarou in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zuhair Lamin prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
