Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th match minute, Essaouira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaya El Ghrib to maneuver through the defense. If Nabil Belabed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zuhair Lamin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yahya Louzani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Azizi Chamakh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabri Belkhayat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Essaouira's goalkeeper Zuhair Lamin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khaled Atif. Khaled Atif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zuhair Lamin having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Essaouira's Nasri Chakhssi got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Munsif Ouaddou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zuhair Lamin. Essaouira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azizi Chamakh in the 57th minute of play forced Kenitra's goalkeeper Sabri Belkhayat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Gaya El Ghrib in the 59th minute really tested Sabri Belkhayat's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Najim Belhaj hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Azizi Chamakh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Kenitra's goalkeeper Sabri Belkhayat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Azizi Chamakh. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Essaouira's goalkeeper Zuhair Lamin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Kenitra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Najim Belhaj to maneuver through the defense. Khaled Atif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Zuhair Lamin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yahya Louzani in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zuhair Lamin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Essaouira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
